The Business Network were very fortunate that Old Collegian Bobby Zagame facilitated us using his amazing premises for our latest event. Bobby is the owner of Zagame Automotive Group and he very generously allowed us to wander amongst the amazing cars on display whilst enjoying a delicious breakfast prepared by current Dad and owner of Classic Catering Rodney Van Oirschot.
We were fortunate to hear from James Golds about his experience with various employment situations, making the most of opportunities and striving to be your best all with an insight into the football world as well given he worked at Carlton for a number of years and has also had a son in the AFL system.
James reinforced that we need to be an active part of our communities and to be happy and fulfilled in what path we choose,
Frank from Zagame Automotive also spoke to the guests. He particularly aimed his thoughts at the students present and let them know that there are many choices out there, and if you aren’t good at school there are other ways of achieving goals and being happy. He used himself as an example and is living proof that the job he does at there has enabled him to travel internationally, and to be around the cars he loves.
Much to all of the guests enjoyment, he then showed us under the bonnet of one of the cars and turned on the (very loud) ignition. Some guests were able to take a seat in the car and pretend for just a minute…..
This was then followed by some very active networking amongst the guests and apart from the fact that people had to get off to work and school we might have stayed for a few hours in that environment!
Lastly, a big thank you to Jimmy for churning out spectacular coffees all morning….a great addition to everyone’s enjoyment.
A huge thank you to Bobby, Frank, Joe and Elizabeth for hosting us at this special day.
